Fuel savings your CFO can audit

Drivers tap once and fuel at the cheapest effective price nearby or on-route. Every saved dollar is verified against your own fuel-card statement, nothing self-reported, nothing estimated.

The wedge

Don't switch fuel cards. Outsmart the ones you have.

Fuel-card programs and cash-back apps ask you to change how your fleet pays. TopOff doesn't touch payment at all, it decides where the fleet fuels, then uses the card statement you already get as the proof. Zero switching cost, zero new vendor risk in the money path.

The driver app

Cheapest effective price nearby or along the route, pump minus card discount, minus detour cost. One tap logs the stop and opens directions. Works offline at remote sites.

The verification engine

Every logged stop is matched to its fuel-card transaction. Savings post only when the card confirms station, gallons, and price, nothing self-reported ever counts.

The fleet report

A monthly savings report you can forward as-is: verified dollars vs baseline, per truck and per driver, methodology printed on it.

The product

Built for people who fuel trucks for a living

Diesel-first pricing, route-aware recommendations, and price freshness you can see, in an app a driver actually keeps using.

The discipline

What counts, and what never does

Most savings tools ask you to trust their math. TopOff's number survives finance review because of what it refuses to count.

Counts

  • Fills matched to a fuel-card transaction, station, day, grade, gallons
  • Savings vs the local market average, snapshotted at decision time
  • Per-truck, per-driver attribution your fleet reports can roll up
  • Card corrections, a reversal revokes its posted saving
Saving = (area average − price paid on card) × card gallons.

Never counts

  • Self-reported gallons or prices, the form doesn't even exist
  • Logged stops with no matching card transaction, they expire
  • Fills above the baseline, floored at zero, never negative "wins"
  • Estimates of any kind in the posted number
If the card can't confirm it, it isn't money.
Common questions

Before you ask

Is this another fuel card?
No. TopOff never touches payment. Your drivers keep fueling on the WEX-class cards you already issue, we decide where to fuel and verify the savings against the card statement you already receive.
How do you verify the savings number?
Each logged stop is matched to its card transaction (driver, station, day, fuel grade). The saving is the gap between the local market average, snapshotted the moment the driver chose the station, and the price actually paid, times the card-reported gallons. Unmatched logs expire; fills above baseline count as zero.
What does IT have to do?
Nothing. Drivers install from a link; verification runs off card-statement data. No MDM, no telematics dependency, no system integration for a pilot.
What's in it for drivers?
A share of every verified dollar they save (you set the rate; 30-40% is typical). The driver earns only when the fleet verifiably saves, the incentives point the same way.
Does it track my drivers all day?
No. Location is used only while the app is open, to rank nearby fuel. No background tracking, no personal cards, no personal accounts.
